Beyond the classroom, our students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of school-sponsored activities.
Our academic program is further enriched by extracurricular programs and experiences.
K-5 students have the opportunity to participate in a year-round Martial Arts Program. This is a free program which takes place after school. Parents can sign their students up for this program in the front office.
Tutoring is available before and after school. Several teachers offer tutoring during lunch as well.
Clubs change annually based on student and teacher interest. Current clubs include International Language Club, Math Club, Drama Club, Aquarium Club, and Drill Team. We encourage students to bring their ideas.
Students have the opportunity to join a Conflict Mediation Program. This program is designed to prepare students on how to constructively address potential conflicts, and is a key component of our character education program.
Field trips offer a chance for students to learn outside the classroom. Field trips are provided over the course of the school year, and depending on grade level typically include excursions to the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center, Botanical Garden, Aquarium, Museum of Natural History, etc. Middle Schoolers also participate in Career Day at Quicken Loans Arena. Information regarding field trips, times, and locations will be provided to the parents by classroom teachers and administration.
Hope Academy Northcoast students have the opportunity to participate in organized sports. We offer basketball for both boys and girls as well as girls’ cheerleading. These sports take place after school and on the weekends. Small fees may apply.
CMSD residents: Students in grades K-6 living 1-5 miles from Hope Academy Northcoast may benefit from free bus transportation provided by Community Bus Services. Families must apply for this service by filling out the Transportation Request Form and turning it in to the School Office. If you are trying to locate a bus en route, please contact 440-337-4376.
